Review on Black Audio-Technica ATH-M50X Professional Grade Studio Monitor Headphones with Detachable Cable - Critically Acclaimed by Aneta Mrwka ᠌

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

In general, I couldn't be happier with my purchase of these headphones. I believe that the pricing is a little bit too much, especially considering that it is for the updated model of the M-50x (it seems to have taken for 10 something). For a very long time, I couldn't decide whether or not to go with the older version or the more recent one. I got a new one, and in the process, I managed to suffocate the toad:) These are some advantages: 1) A solid construction with a pleasing outward appearance. They offer the appearance of being a costly and high-quality item. Despite this, the first impression is accurate; it is a wonderful experience to hold anything of this nature in your hands. 2) A frequency response that is sufficiently well balanced. It is possible to listen even without equalization if you make an effort. Following the application of equalization, it is clear that there were bumps at frequencies of 100 Hz, 2.5 kHz, and 8 kHz. The bass is really good; it is not boosted in comparison to the averages (with the exception of 100 Hz), and it does not fail, which is an extremely uncommon occurrence. 3) Play from virtually any available source. Even the smartphone generates a volume that is almost bearable to listen to. The Fiio E7 is what I use to listen to music, and the volume is set at medium. 4) They conform to the shape of my skull almost exactly. Lightweight, with a secure clamp that does not interfere with normal use. Because the spaces for the ears are so close together, it's possible that they won't work for persons whose ears are particularly large or prominent. The following are some of its negative aspects: In and of themselves, there are no drawbacks. Yet, perspective changes everything. The AKG K550, which I also own, serves as a comparison instrument under essentially the identical settings. AKG has my own preference above other brands. It has to do with the way the sound is. 1) The sound of the M-50 appears to be somewhat less complex, perhaps flatter, or something like that. Although I'm not an audiophile myself, I believe that I am. And this is despite the fact that ACGs call for significantly more intensive EQ correction, particularly in the bass domain. 2) Moreover, AKG is available at a lower price. If you don't want to bother with a 30-band or parametric equalizer and you want an acceptable bass from any hole, take the M-50. If you want a more interesting sound, but through dancing with a tambourine, then the AKG K550 is the one for you. In conclusion, the advice is as follows: 3) Another thing I've found is that the M-50 allows sound to escape more easily than other devices. Sitting one meter away from a person wearing an AKG will make it impossible for you to hear what they are saying. AKGs are also much softer and more gentle or something sitting on the head, but they are also heavier and the pressure is weak, which is also not suitable for everyone. Therefore, not everyone can use AKGs.
