First time trying to clean my K&N filter with this system and the results are good! It's basically a four step process using these two products: 1) Remove the filter and spray the Power Kleen solution "plentifully" onto your filter. 2) Rinse off the Power Kleen solution with running water. (Instructions say you may need to repeat these steps, which I did.) 3) Shake off excess water and allow to dry completely 4) Spray filter oil on filter - allow to dry 20 minutes - reinstall. That's all. came out for the second time so I'm glad I did. After rinsing, the filter looked and felt completely dry after about 3 hours, but I let the filter dry completely overnight to be safe. I did not use the pump version of the filter. Butter, but I have to say I don't think I will. I really prefer the lightness and coverage that an aerosol gives you. The oil is tinted red so you can easily judge the finish - DO NOT overfill the oil. Results: In my opinion this does exactly what it claims to do - cleans and recharges your used filter to keep it performing at a high level. What it doesn't do is make your used filter brand new. I know there is still some dirt in this filter that you can't reach with these products, but I'm sure it will continue to filter dirt and provide clean airflow. If you want a bad analogy: I'd say it's like just using mouthwash to brush your teeth. Yes, you'll get that nice clean and minty-fresh feeling, but it won't feel like you just left the dentist. If you have a K&N filter, this is the only way to treat it. They do a good job of making it easy to use and the results are positive. There seems to be a lot of solution left for future cleanings. How much depends on whether you need to repeat steps 1 and 2 with the Power Kleen solution. I've posted my actual before and after pictures on the customer pics. Look at you!
