Review on Dream Me Pocket Coil Mattress by Sanai Rosario

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Saved us an opportunity to take our toddler on a trip.

Not sure if this mattress can get enough stars. Our 13 month old was finally transitioning to a regular schedule but couldn't settle down enough to sleep with the pack and play along the way. It would mess up the schedule of every weekend we travelled. This didn't require a complete relearn of the schedule, but would complicate Monday and Tuesday. At the end of our rope we booked it for this weekend's trip and had it delivered directly to where we would be staying. The mattress fits perfectly into the Pack n Play (Graco) that our hosts already had. We put a "hard" mattress on the bottom, then put it on top and put a sheet on top. The landing is close. Obviously with the Pack n Play fabric sides there are some ledges on the sides and I would be very hesitant to use a mattress for a child who is very mobile. Therefore, children under the age of one year are unlikely to be lucky. In terms of sleep, our son napped after lunch, then slept on it all night, then napped in the morning before we left town. Both the daytime naps and his nighttime naps went great! It's huge. He used to never sleep at Pack n Play. Then the real test was the return to the city. He took an afternoon nap while we drove, but then we went about his nightly routine like clockwork and put him to bed that night. He woke up Monday morning at the usual time. So this mattress basically freed us to be able to travel with our son from time to time and keep him on schedule. We stayed but brought it with us). It's not as easy to fold as the Pack n Play so I'm wondering if it will be possible to fly with it? If you have a really big suitcase, maybe you could put that in the suitcase along with the rags? As for driving, it just slipped into the trunk on top of the rest of our bags. The description says it weighs 5 pounds, which seems correct. In any case, it is very light and easy to lift, making car travel a pleasure. Even if it wasn't that easy, it would be worth it. If your child is mobile, raising their head, standing up, crawling/walking, etc., but is a bit picky about sleeping in a backpack and playing, I would highly recommend this mattress.
