Wow, a lot of effort! I didn't think they were that heavy. It's pretty cool. I often camp with tents and use lightweight aluminum tent poles. But my wife and I just got a retractable camper and needed heavier pegs for the canopy and carpet for the camper that we will be using. The hammer is also quite heavy because I think the head is cast. I thought the hammer was too light to do anything. No way, it's heavy and beautiful. Even the carrying case is pretty good. The stakes are sharp and heavy, so we'll see how long they last. Haven't had a chance to take them on a hike yet due to COVID. I will update my review as soon as I have the opportunity.
