These are definitely not lightweight tent poles. You don't have to worry about them not holding what you put. They are long and strong. Do yourself a favor and get this. If you've camped before you know the importance of having quality stakes that will last during the up - Do not break or dismantling. These are high quality stakes with a thoughtful design. Each hit with the included hammer slides into the ground (like butter). It also has a handy pocket to store everything. Invest in it and you'll never have to buy stocks again.

Great product! The stakes proved to be quite strong even when driven into the stony ground. I've used them to hold my tent and large tarp in 40mph winds and they haven't moved and the extra length holds up great even when you're in sandy ground. The included hammer is convenient to use as it stores in the bag and has a hook at the bottom to grab the pegs and pull them out even when they are fully driven in.

I was in Death Valley before COVID hit and around the same time we were hit by 60 mile winds that seriously threatened our trip. Luckily I bought them before we left and to my surprise our tent was still up with those huge poles stuck in the gravel of the river bed. This thing held our tent and probably kept it from flying out into the desert. Get them if you plan to venture into rough terrain. You will not regret it!

You just arrived today. Some came out of the box because they are heavy. Total weight with hammer and stakes in bag 4 lbs. I love how the rubber ring on top glows in the dark so you don't trip over the wires. Pretty smart. Hammer. Comes with a strap so you don't lose it when you hammer it, or you can hang it in your tent so you don't lose it. Good product and should last many seasons. I don't know if they work well in the sand but they will be updated soon.

The package arrived so heavy I decided to only take 4 stakes and a hammer on the bike. Excellent quality and very strong long pegs. I usually try to find a rock that can be used to hit stakes, so this wonderful hammer would be a great addition. I have recently bought free standing tents so the tent needs to be anchored securely. This is a three season tent only when anchored. I will use the other four posts for my car tent. I definitely wouldn't use them too heavily for hiking though.

OK First off these are heavy stakes so not suitable for backpacking in a tent. But for camping where you carry your gear not far from the car, they're great. All the stakes were still in good shape from the Colorado hike where the ground was pretty hard and rocky. Honestly the hammer head could have been heavier but it worked well. The hook was useful for removing stakes after they were made. These pegs are sharp and strong and won't "bend" like the flimsy, blunt ones that come with most tents.

Definitely one of the smartest purchases I've ever made. I have a very large umbrella that I bought from a Sams club many years ago. The supplied stakes were either rusted or lost. I ordered this set to keep using my umbrella at the beach. The inserts are long and the hammer is sooooo comfortable. The back of the handle makes it easy to remove the pegs. Wow, a lot of effort! I didn't think they were that heavy. It's pretty cool. I often camp with tents and use lightweight aluminum tent poles. But my wife and I just got a retractable camper and needed heavier pegs for the canopy and carpet for the camper that we will be using.
