This stand works well once assembled. Unfortunately, the screws are very difficult to tighten. Are they almost like cross threads? Maybe bad workmanship? The tool they give you will tighten the bolts, but it's almost impossible to fully tighten them. I took a 5t hex wrench from my husband's toolbox and was able to tighten it with sufficient force (though not easily). Also, the instructions say to install two water bottle stems before adding the next tier and that just doesn't work. You can place a water bottle stem and then add the next row so the screw goes through both tiers and water bottle stems. Hope that helps. When it's together it works great, but I kept guessing myself because it's so difficult to tighten the screws.
