My six year old has a chronic "roll" - she shakes her head (a little violently) to sleep, sometimes shaking her whole body. Needless to say, her hair looks like a rat's nest in the morning. I bought this blanket hoping it would comfort her so she wouldn't have to roll over. She LOVES it and it easily reduces roll by 50%. She sleeps more peacefully and the morning struggle with combing her hair is bearable now. Also, I washed it with great success. Gentle cycle, then air dry about 3/4, then tumble dry for a few minutes to finish work and fluff.
