This review combines 4 products. Gerbing's Gyde 12V Shell Liner-Powersport-Large/Regular Portable Temp Controller Powerlet SAE Cable to Coax (that's probably what you need). This is one, but someone probably wants it.) I'm posting this for clarity on typical connections for heated equipment. I bought a Gyde motorcycle jacket from Gyde Supply Co. and Powered by Gerbing. I used to have an old 2002 Gerbing jacket and only had SAE (Pigtail aka Battery Tender connectors) for power. Modern jackets appear to connect to power via "coax" connections. It is much more common to use an SAE/pigtail/battery connection directly from your motorcycle battery than a coaxial cable. So I had to buy a SAE to coax adapter. If you are using an SAE connection from a motorcycle battery you will need a powerlet to SAE coaxial cable. (At first I accidentally bought the wrong one.) Starting with the battery, here are the connections: Either 1 or 1 Alternative: 1) Battery clamp with fuse and coax socket. It came with a new case. 1 Alternative) Powerlet coaxial connector to SAE cable. 2) The side of the controller that faces the power supply is the coax connector. 3) The side of the controller that faces the case is the coax connector. 4) The wire going from the jacket to the controller is a pin. For 1 and 1 alternatives, whatever battery connector you use, you will need a fuse. If using just the jacket, use the included 7.5A fuse. If you have other heated equipment connected to this power line, you will need to do some math to select the correct fuse. The jacket comes with a chart showing the amperage consumption for the jacket, gloves etc. I hope this helps you buy the right gear at once!
