Because I work at home with a headset all day. Using headphones was really starting to bother me, and I wanted something over my ear that wouldn't drown out all the sounds around me. it was exactly what i needed. The sound quality is really good and I like that the cable has a volume and mute button which makes setup much easier during a conference call.
