First time through I used Mapei Aqua defense. I taped all the corners and seams. I let it dry for a full 24 hours and they never fully dried. The cloth does not allow the membrane under it to fully dry. So then I thought it could be a crappy membrane. (I ended up removing all the taped seams because they peeled so easily due to it not being dry.I went and bought hydro-ban and tried again with that product. It is now the next morning and the same problem. If I poke a razor knife through the fabric, the inside is still not dry!The other Fiberglass mesh tapes are more transparent and thinner, and not such a dense cloth like this. No wonder the lacticrete version is double the price.
