Although I've had bad luck with Gigabyte motherboards for the last 5-10 years, I was a bit apprehensive about this purchase as I've been buying thin and powerful 15 inch laptops for my granddaughter who is in college. Nothing in it seemed to have the performance, nor the features, that I was really looking for. Well I was very impressed with the color! This machine is very well built, lightweight, and powered by the latest 9th Gen Intel hexa-core processor, along with an RTX 2060, 512GB NVME drive, and 16GB of dual-channel storage with a second NVME slot all in one very simple configuration to be used upgrade: no mainboard is "turned around" here! It has a Thunderbolt 3 port, an RJ-45 port if you opt for a wired connection, an SD card reader and all the usual ports available: USB3.1, HDMI, so it's packed with options that you to be able to use. not mentioning the 15 inch OLED screen! Deafening! Accurate color reproduction, ideal for content creators who need color accuracy. And the games look really good too. You can always go from 4K to 1920 x 1080 for your games and potentially get higher frame rates, and while that display is locked to 60Hz, a potential frame rate much higher than in-game only improves the 60Hz view In short, this laptop offers good value for money and is one of the few thin and light 15-inch laptops that has many options and ports that are really useful and should be present on a laptop in its class. price range. Oh, and the 9th Gen Intel processor is a definite improvement over its 8th Gen cousin. If you're a serious gamer, you can now opt for a 240Hz panel and possibly a higher RTX option. However, note that while thermal throttling can occur, it's not something you can't deal with with reduced voltage and/or using a cooling pad if you find it severely limits your style. powerful, and anytime you cram a six-core processor into a thin and light device (emphasize that again!), heat can be an issue, but that's never stopped me from playing the many AAA games enjoy the games I play without restricting my style. some Premiere rendering and editing. And fast! Everything is under 5#. Definitely worth your attention, especially with that gorgeous 15-inch OLED screen: the same one that all other laptop manufacturers use in their OLED offerings. Got an extra guarantee too. For the price it's worth it. And while no one can appreciate the longevity of this new offering from Gigabyte/Aero, if first impressions count, our granddaughter will find this to be a valuable tool in her educational journey for years to come. Well done Gigabit!
