This is a great product that works exactly as advertised. This way you can salvage a discarded hose if an old end connection fails. There is one suggestion however, before attempting to attach the device to the hose end, of course cut off the old hose end and then apply pneumatic oil to the inside of the hose end and to the threaded end that will be screwed into the fitting and hose. This avoids the twisting of the hose that can occur when attempting to install the fitting dry. In this situation, the hose rotates inside the large brass fitting and the threads of the large piece cut through the hose, making the end again inevitable. Please note that the image accompanying this review is in the wrong orientation. The long threaded part of the smaller diameter part goes into the larger diameter part and not as shown in the picture.
