Review on 🔥 TYC 00-06 Chevrolet/GMC/Yukon Blower Assembly: Premium Quality HVAC Component by Ethan Delaney

The OE fan motor in my 2001 Silverado has been making a squeaking/squeaking noise for years. In the end I decided it was time to replace it. I bought this unit based on reviews and it was listed as compatible with my truck. Installation turned out to be more difficult than I thought - it's not the fan's fault, it's the GM engineers who designed under-dash parts that have to be removed to get to the fan. The fan is accessed with unusually large hex head screws (5/32 and 7/32), and some of these are in very hard-to-reach places. My truck also had an extra acoustic cover under the fan (which other vehicles don't seem to have) which I had to remove and leave behind as this replacement fan base was slightly larger than the original one. The lack of an acoustic cover did not affect the noise level of the fan. Installing the fan (twist lock) is the easiest part. I looked on YouTube how to do it. The new fan works well - the amount of air it throws out seems to be the same as the original fan at different fan speeds. This fan is no louder than the standard. This fan is 1/3 the price of a new OEM fan. I'm very happy that this fan works so well and I won't miss the squeaky noise the old fan makes.
