I couldn't find women's shorts anywhere in stores and had to return a pair I bought online because of the unusual size. They are true to size and fit perfectly. They have a fairly high waist which means I can wear them higher to shape my tummy or lower for a more traditional cropped look. They are thin and not loose like board shorts. They fit like loose spandex. They don't have built-in underwear. I removed the drawstring to get rid of the bulge under the shirt.
