Review on ๐ŸฆŽ Evergreen Pet Supplies Reptile Humidifier/Fogger - Large Tank - Versatile for Reptiles, Amphibians, and Herps - Compatible with Terrariums and Enclosures by Kara Davis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The best reptile fogger we have found

We use this ball python aviary fogger and it is connected to a timer. It gives stable output, is very quiet and appears to be very well built. The volume control is pretty good and can go from almost zero to just enough mist to fill a 50G tank in about a minute. The reason for the four stars instead of five has to do with the design of the tank. To fill, you need to remove the hose, remove and turn the tank upside down, and then fill from the bottom. Because of our environment, we have to do this almost every day. Removing the tubing means you can disrupt placement. The tank is also awkward to hold when filling; You can't just put it on a flat surface to fill it - you always have to hold it. If you pick up the tank you will almost certainly spill water since the tank is in the bottom compartment. This is a common problem with most detachable tanks, so they are usually mounted on plastic pans to catch small spills. We use either distilled water or reverse osmosis water and there was no build up on the tank glass or inside the mechanism. .If the manufacturer is reading this, consider a minor design change to allow for top loading. This allows users to fill the tank on site or stand the tank up while it is being filled. For reference, the ZooMed fogger has a smaller detachable bottle that is interchangeable and easy to fill without damaging the hose or spilling or splashing water. If you design a top opening, make it large enough to easily fill and clean from a jug. This unit was used cyclically (two hours on, four hours off) for about a month and it was great. . If it were allowed to fill the space from above it would get six stars :)
