Review on Altec Lansing MZX856-RED Bluetooth Active Earbuds by Brittany Collins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I personally liked these headphones for a long time

I personally liked these headphones for a long time; approx. 5 months without complaints! After a few weeks of use, I noticed that the deep, boomy bass was somewhat distorted, resulting in louder bass to my left ear. The battery isn't heavy, but if you move something, the battery will move to one side of the neck and then the other. This makes it very easy to pull the kidney out of just one ear. But the battery life is impressive! I chose these, the cheaper option, over the Beats wireless earbuds simply because they have 20 HOURS of battery life! I thought it was an exaggeration that couldn't be true. But I can tell you that after my first full charge, it took 5 DAYS to fully discharge the battery. These things really have a phenomenal sound that can keep up with the beats. Phone calls also sound great and give you the opportunity to fully hear what the other person is saying. They have a very comfortable fit that not only goes into the ear, but encloses it on the inside. Soundproofing is present, but not absolute. You can hear someone speaking to you when the headphones are on and the music is paused, but the audio is muffled and very low. I assume so you can hear the cars while you walk. After about 4 or 5 months my left earbud stopped making sound. Also, the battery pack began to lose its pressure-sensitive adhesive, causing it to crack. Finally, the last physical damage I was able to fix after 7 months was an undercharged battery and overheating. However, I sent a message to Altec Lansing customer service and after about 2 days we identified the problem and they simply asked me to send the headphones in for a full replacement with an expected delivery time of 10-15 days. Although it wasn't as durable as I would have liked, I am very impressed with their customer service. Another criticism: the controls on the side of the headphones were a bit confusing. It took me about 20 minutes to figure out how to even mate. There are 3 buttons that you can use to do a variety of things such as: B. increase volume, skip songs, call and answer people, turn on and off, create pairs and much more periods. . You get the hang of it, but when you first start using it, it becomes very overwhelming and complex. Overall I'm very happy with them and would recommend them to ANYONE looking to save money on a Beats alternative.
