Excellent product, the best of water heaters, parts and accessories

Great product so far. A few comments: I have a 16 gallon suburban water heater. It takes about 2 hours to bring it from ambient to 128F. We just leave it on unless we are away for more than 4 days. I used household 14/3 cords for power and put backlit connectors on both ends. First I connected a switchable plug (from Home Depot about 5 CAD) so I could easily turn the power on and off. Also, I used lighted connectors (Home Depot, about CA$15) on both ends of the 14/3 wiring so I can easily see from a distance without checking the switch. I installed a thermostat on the back of the water. Water heater where the water inlet/outlet connections are located. The tank is slightly curved so the included double sided tape is not enough to keep it in place. So I used 3M 300WT Fire Barrier Waterproof Sealant (also available in HD for a few bucks) on the edges of the thermostat. Let it dry overnight, pressing slightly against the thermostat to hold it in place (I used our toilet plunger!). Now he's stuck. I suppose I could use regular silicone sealant. One more thing: It came with a "wipe cloth", a one square inch damp cloth to wipe off dust after sanding the surface of the tank before installing the thermostat. This is woefully inadequate, I had to use some paper towels soaked in rubbing alcohol to wipe everything clean. Finally, I no longer have to worry about running out of propane while showering. That works great. I recommend it.
