Review on HP External Ultra Slim Format DVD600S by Chase Shetler

This product was easy and quick to install. The included software is great but feels overkill (you have to install about 4 programs, each serving a different but sometimes useful purpose). A major downside is that USB is about 3 inches long. What the heck do you do with a 3 inch USB? So you need to buy an extension cord for it, but the information pack says it can't be extended more than 1ft (otherwise you'll reduce the data rate), but you can only buy extension cords over 3ft. So my question is, why wouldn't HP just stick a 1ft USB stick in it!? Otherwise, it's a great external drive. I also just found out that it can be hooked up to a TV and used as a DVD player which is great as I don't have a DVD player and now have a compact version which is great.
