I didn't dry my hair completely with this. Sounds weird, doesn't it?! No! I don't want the ends of my hair to dry before I've finished my other skin treatments. I find it more convenient to use if you have a button next to the back of your head. I've also found that it's easier to zip up if I gently tug on the elastic so it's snug against my back. I like that it doesn't absorb a lot of moisture but doesn't drip either. I used to have a microfiber headband that dried my hair too quickly. I've used the t-shirt a few times and found I needed something like this, but it would be easier to wear and wouldn't fall apart when you move. This would be a great option for girls with curly hair.
