I bought two 27" UP2716D monitors for my work. I've been looking for dual monitors to replace my old Dell P2415 for a while. I've tried several monitors including LG UltraFine 4K, Dell UltraSharp U2720Q but still not satisfied. I decided to try these older models after learning about wide gamut monitors and I am very happy with my choice. Below are some of the pros and cons. I have both monitors with HDMI-to -USB cables connected to my MacBook Pro 2018. I just use standard mode with uniformity calibration enabled and the color is amazing! It matches the color of my MacBook Pro very well.compared to 4K monitors. The 2K resolution is ideal for a 13" MacBook Pro without an external graphics card if you value a smooth user interface. Texts become crisp after a few workarounds. Cons: 1. D The white color is not the same between these two monitors. I can tell that one is redder than the other. I don't do design or photography so it doesn't really bother me.2. 2k scaling on MacOS is a bit annoying. I started with native resolution but found the fonts are too small. If I used a scaled resolution, the texts would be blurry. I have to follow some stuff online to find workarounds. The newer version of the monitor, the U2720Q, is much simpler, you can just zoom in without seeing blurry text in the display options.
