T-REX is a great tape! Highly recommended for high integrity first time repairs on a variety of materials.

This is an excellent tape that is definitely superior to standard tapes. I'm renovating a bathroom and had to knock out some of the ceramic tile in the shower to see if the exhaust duct was inside the stud wall. As an experiment, I ordered T-REX tape to see if it would seal a hole in the ceramic tile and keep it watertight so the shower could be used until it was time to demolish the bathroom. The hole I punched in the shower screen was about 6-8 inches wide and 9-11 inches high. As a test of the adhesive properties of adhesives, ceramic tiles were not cleaned by shower soaps and shampoos. The tape was applied starting at the bottom of the hole, each strip overlapping the previous one by about 1/2 inch to ensure a good watertight seal. The tape extended beyond the edge of the hole by about 1 inch of T-REX tape. Each tape has been applied so that there are no creases or creases where the tape contacts the ceramic tile and the overlapping layer of T-REX tape. I used my hand to press and flatten the tape to ensure good adhesion and hopefully a watertight seal. I did not meet a set time before testing the repair. I used a Water Pick hand held shower head connected to the water line with a braided hose. Water was sprayed from all directions up, down and side to side using high pressure settings. The water temperature changed from cold to hot. The water was sprayed long enough to ensure any water leaks were visible under the shower stall and wall stud as seen between the floor joists under the bath. Absolutely no leaks! The tape has been applied to other surfaces, both smooth and rough, with excellent adhesion on the surfaces I tested. T-REX is great for the first repair! The slightly higher costs are easily justified because it just works!
