To be honest this is where I go. I have at least 20 large, heavy-duty master locks in my shop, on my gates, trailers, etc. However, living in the Midwest, snow and ice can seep into their construction and cause them to thaw miserably in the cold. I decided to replace a few and settled on these. Wow what a difference in the quality, weight and hardness of the locks. Yes, they still freeze during an ice storm, but if they're well lubricated they don't freeze, unlike the locks where I have a dozen plate ribs that water can easily get in through. I have now changed a total of 10 locks and will be using these from now on, I am very confident that my business and equipment is well protected with these locks. Overall I'd say this is a solid purchase that will give you some peace of mind in today's climate.
