Review on Enhanced Audio Experience with Ear Force DSS 7.1 Channel Dolby Surround Sound Processor by Mark Powell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I just wanted to watch BluRay movies at night which is great!

I agree with csmith400's review. I don't usually play FPS and for fun prefer Eden or Peggle on Ps3 so can't comment but Eden sounds great! Then I turned on Harry Potter 7 part 1 and 2 and was blown away. I don't have high end headphones so I plugged in my regular pair to listen to MP3s. This 7.1 channel Ear Force DSS Dolby Surround Sound Processor has helped me in many ways. My apartment shares a living room wall with my neighbors' bedroom, and after some knocking late at night I wanted to put on my headphones. I didn't want wireless ones as they don't get good reviews and I don't usually leave without watching a movie so I looked for a wired pair and found my TV didn't have a headphone jack. Neither does PS3. I've also read in many PS3 headphone reviews that they don't sound great in movies, only in games, GRRRRR! I don't want to have items in their place anymore, so looking at receivers and other sound systems I started getting annoyed and almost gave up. After finding some Utube and blogs I found others had this problem and I stumbled upon Ear Force DSS 7.1 Channel Dolby Surround Sound Processor. I plugged it in, hooked everything up, set the PS3 settings to send audio to it and left. I walked. It's small, call it the size of an Altoids can, but what a great job it did in the film. If this helped you in your decision to buy a little thing that plays sound from your PS3, all sounds not just games, come here and give it a try. Oh, and find a review by Closeyou titled DSS vs DSS2 to see the difference between the old and new versions of this device. I used my guns and the shipper1 was amazing even overseas from the US.
