This set presents no difficulties. I'm not a brush specialist and I don't usually buy insanely expensive brushes. I've bought brands like Sephora, ELF, and Kat Von D. They're at least as good. They withstand polishing without crumbling and wash perfectly with regular bar soap. I towel dry them vigorously before letting them air dry and have no complaints. For the amount of brushes you get for the price, you'll find a use for at least some if not all of these brushes. I don't apply a lot of makeup but I was looking for at least six different brushes and this set more than delivered. There is a strong plastic smell when first bought, but I knew straight away that they come in plastic packaging, not the brushes themselves. You can't be disappointed with this set.
