Review on DFM Blue Curved Cabinet Scraper by Devin Tanner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

An elegant tool for a more civilized age

I love the finish these cabinet scrapers give my projects. I'm a novice carpenter/joiner at best as I do it more like an amateur than a pro. Unfortunately, the surface of my flat scraper started to rust shortly after the first use. I'm sure it was a combination of my sweat and natural oils, but I don't think the scrapers came with any instructions for the car. However, slight surface oxidation hasn't affected the scrapers' performance, and I still get glass finishes on handrails, bookshelves, etc. I'd buy them again (although I doubt I'll ever have to) but I'd try to take better care of them around them and remove their fingerprints. (You don't need a fancy polisher, by the way. A simple screwdriver is enough to roll the burr to the edge after flattening it with a file.)
