I've always been hesitant to put a camera indoors for privacy reasons, but with an aging dog who is very afraid of separation and thunderstorms, I needed something to test him outside the home. My first camera was from Simplisafe which came free with a full alarm pack. It did the job well, but it only covered one of the two places my stressed dog goes. Enter the Amcrest Camera! I placed this camera in the same place as the Simplisafe camera and started the installation. It was so intuitively easy to set up. The software on iOS is absolutely fully functional. It has features I didn't even know existed (saturation, brightness, image quality). The main feature I was most looking forward to was pan/tilt. I can now move the camera as needed to check my pet's hiding spots, making this camera infinitely more effective for me. Mobile video is real-time and smooth, and I can unmute and even talk through the camera if needed. The best thing is when I'm at home I can set privacy mode and the camera tilts straight down.
