TL:DR - Bought as new; Came out of the box with a defective unit. Returned Product description was like new, shipped in original packaging (opened). Arrived in regular brown Revain bubble wrap. Everything was in the box (open) but there was a noticeable open gap in one corner of the device as if the device had been dropped previously. I went straight to the recovery process as it is proportional, so of course such a fall meant a possible problem with the inertial mechanism (pendulum).
