The set is exactly as it should be, the material is very durable hard plastic. Even tougher than regular Rubbermaid or Ziplock containers. But what struck me was the size. I think the photos of just the containers with no relation to anything else leads you to believe that they really are comparable in size to the Rubbermaid or ziplock containers that you store your food in. However, I was a bit surprised at how small they really are. I don't care or complain because let's face it, it's for portion control, not storage. Just thought I would bring this to the public's attention to better understand what you are getting. I've attached some photos of me holding several jars - the largest (green) jar and the smallest (orange) jar (I have VERY small hands - like a kid) and I also have the jars alongside a regular Rubbermaid container photographed. for reference.
