Review on LG Ultragear 27GN95B B 4K Gaming Monitor with Adaptive Sync: Review and Features by Sergio Herring

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent monitor supported by useless software

This is a business version of the original 27GN950 but they are exactly the same so I went with the cheaper one. I bought it because my desk is too small to fit two monitors for gaming and photography. The monitor is already calibrated and has a test report, I checked it with a color calibrator and its colors are pretty accurate. I first used it on my old laptop and found that this monitor doesn't support refresh rates above 100Hz for Geforce 10 series graphics cards or older, so think twice if you have older graphics cards. I downloaded the official Control Panel software to get more RGB lighting combos, but it really didn't make a difference, there are very few options, and the software is basically useless in most situations (you even have to type a guy -A cable to type B that comes with the monitor to run the software successfully), so don't worry.

Pros
  • 60 Hertz
Cons
  • Nothing at all
