Review on 💡 LEDVANCE Sylvania Equivalent Energy-efficient 40887 by Nate Caldwell

The bulbs are pretty good they give a good bright light, look a lot like the old bulbs they light up straight away, do not flicker noticeably and work cool. They show the slight shadowing caused by the LED filament strips inside the light source, which is difficult to avoid with this type of lamp and is not as noticeable as it looks in the photo. However, they have a more serious drawback: a big ugly logo is printed right on the top of the bottle. For a normal lightbulb used in a lampshade this is not a problem but these are decorative lightbulbs meant to be used completely openly and the logo really ruins the look. Most bulbs of this type, if labeled at all, have it printed in lowercase on the base side where it is not normally visible. Luckily I found a solution: using a standard razor blade it only takes about 20 seconds to scrape the logo off the bulb leaving a nice clean glass, but that's an unnecessary step. Can't say anything about durability, but so far so good.
