Review on Projector Projectors Smartphones Supported Compatible by Domonic Roberts

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Your mileage may vary.

After owning Ifmeyasi for about 2 days I have come to a conclusion. It must be returned for a refund. Here is my take on the projector I received. Smartphone Connection: Worked so-so when using Airplay via an iPad Pro. Screen sharing worked to an extent, but the connection dropped every 10-15 minutes and there was significant lag or lag when trying to view content, particularly YouTube content. Couldn't get the projector to work with 2 Android phones, one was a OnePlus 6T, just wouldn't work. a few seconds, mainly waiting for the projector to restart. Yes, it restarted after a few seconds. There is a blue power indicator that changes color from blue to red. The color was off too - reminded me of a movie on VHS. Yes, matte colors. Movies I tried - Avatar, rich greens looked more tan than green. The colors were also dull and washed out in Pirates of the Caribbean 1 and 2. The sea scenes were just awful. Avengers 1 and 2, color for color for color again. Before I forget, the projector was connected to an Alienware R4 17 with a Geforce 1070 via the included HDMI. However, there wasn't much lag or lag when the color was off, and waiting for the projector to restart made things less fun. Lucy and Gravity was almost impossible to watch, again mainly due to poor color rendering. Played movies from the laptop through iTunes - a lot of stuttering, speech lag and several minutes of movie loading. Dialogues can be heard, but what's the use without a picture. Several 4K YouTube videos played, but the quality was bad, bad, bad again. Did I type badly? Oh, to work around the iTunes issue I used VUDU - the lag was just as obvious, but the same reload shenanigans prevailed. The strangest thing is that the bottom of each film had a blurry effect. It's like looking through a child's telescope. No changes could be made to resolve the issue. Same goes for the color - no matter how much I changed in the projector settings, the color just didn't change. There's a reason the description says the projector was recommended for PowerPoint presentations - the words are jagged and that can't change. Well I could, but the quality has gone down. Sound: Wasn't expecting theatrical quality but was more monophonic than anything else. Although the noise got louder. Wi-Fi: There were some connectivity issues - it only works on 2.4GHz. Need to be tethered to a PC - you don't have an AppleTV or similar test, this is or was another reason for the return. Overall it was a good experience, but something more robust without the screen door effect is needed. The color is omitted because it exists or has been discontinued. Sorry for the confusion.
