Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhance Your Gaming Experience with Logitech G MX518 Gaming Mouse by Charlie Clayton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just got it in the mail today and WOW!

I've been involved in the PC gaming community for many years, mostly playing FPS games like Counterstrike, Call of Duty, Overwatch and so on to the top; So I've used many mice over the years to name a few: Zowie fk-1, zowie ec1-A, logitech g703, logitech g203, logitech g403 and Razer Deathadder and none of them feel as comfortable in the hand ( hybrid palm and claw) and as accurate as the hero sensor in this updated mx518 version. I've always heard good things about the original mx518, but I could never justify spending over $150 on a new one, or over $50 on a used one that usually had some sort of functional or cosmetic damage. When Logitech announced the remake of the mx518, I ordered it straight away and I'm already excited. It's very comfortable to grip and looks good (I love the smooth, glossy design on the top, which has an ombre sort of effect that goes from dark black at the base of the mouse to light gray at the top). a mouse that reminds me of the color of the original mx518), and as I mentioned, the Hero 16k sensor feels like one of the smoothest, most responsive sensors I've ever used. First impression, 10.10. I will make an edit in the future after using it for different games. Thank you for bringing back the Logitech legend! Edit: 2/28/19 Pros: - Great ergonomics for right mouse users - The design is simple but looks great. This mouse has no RGB or backlighting, which isn't an issue for me, but might be an issue for those who want a backlit mouse for their flashy setup. The cable is rubberized and thinner than other Logitech mice I've had. previously used like g203 (rubber) and g403 (braid) which is nice because it fits my mouse's bungee a bit easier but not so thin that it slips in or out. - This mouse weighs 101 grams, which is not the lightest mouse on the market, but it is still very comfortable to control and glides easily on my mouse pad's surface. The Hero 16k sensor is one of the best optical sensors out there right now, it's very sensitive and I can definitely feel the difference in performance compared to the g203 I used before the mx518. Cons: The only issue I have with this mouse is the glossy finish. While it's fairly grippy and aesthetically pleasing (maybe not your cup of tea for me), residue builds up on the surface if you have sweaty hands. Nothing a quick swipe wouldn't fix.
