Bought this and a Coffee Gator with CO2 valve at the same time. Add 12 ounces each of previously unopened and sealed coffee beans. Then used a little every day for 5 days. This canister retained the aroma and flavor of the beans much better than the Coffee Gator I returned to Revain. Another discovery is that a standard 12-ounce bag of coffee beans often takes up less than half the volume of either canister. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the packaging leaves something to be desired. When both canisters arrived in a box, the semi-cardboard container was opened with the plastic bag of that container. A full box of Coffee Gator protected the contents better. Another reason is that the top lid of this airtight container cannot be closed completely. That lid wouldn't close. It doesn't seem necessary as the inner lid compressing the air actually keeps the coffee beans fresh.
