I made the mistake of buying 3 of these cheap heaters (2x 300w and 1x 200w). Within 2 months (maybe less) one of the 300w died and 8 months later the 200w died. I think the last 300 watts are still working but I don't really think it will last long. Simple math will tell you that 1/3 (33%) is not a very good success rate and certainly not a gamble that I would advise anyone with their expensive aquariums. My advice: pay around $10 for Eheim (probably the best in terms of affordability) or Marineland (just because they have a lifetime warranty).
