Review on ๐Ÿ•๏ธ Camping Solar Panel 10W: Waterproof Foldable Travel Charger with USB Port by Jose Brunson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Really good quality, works well

The first thing that strikes you is how durable this item appears to be. Soldered into a thick fibrous plastic backing, the platters are fairly rigid, with a clear plastic layer covering the entire surface from edge to edge. If you sit on it and flex enough you can destroy the panels, but even with moderate care this should last indefinitely. I did some real life performance testing with one of these awesome devices https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FMHHS43 and found that on a bright, sunny, cloudless day at 10am I was in a shade leaning towards a blue Heaven shows the iPad I've chosen only has about 90mA. Exposure to bright sunlight increases the current to a very respectable 1.25A (6.25W), which is comparable to many USB wall chargers. In full sun, this should be able to charge just about anything. I also tried installing it in a sunny south east facing window and got about 375mA in my iPhone 6 which added about 3% charge in half an hour so not great but not terrible either. Obviously, outside in bright sunshine is the best app, and it seems pretty much a requirement for keeping your phone charged for a reasonable amount of time. Let's say on a camping trip with expected sunny weather this should work great. If you're cloudy, cloudy then maybe not much, but that's going to be the story with any solar power system. The voltage was always well regulated down to around 5V, well within the range of typical USB wall power modules. Impressed with the quality and performance of this extremely affordable usb solar panel and i can easily give it five stars and i will definitely buy more when i come across other uses.

Pros

Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
