The crimping tool is solid, durable and strong. It worked as advertised. I used it to butt splice two 8 AWG wires. It worked great. It takes a lot of force to close the buttons to make a crimp. I had to use both hands. I had a helper hold the wire in the butt joint so it wouldn't slip out while I crimped.
