I bought this step stool to have something compact for everyday use and it works great. This is the one extra step I need to get to the shelf above my cabinets or to put dust on the bookshelves etc. It's tiny so it hides in the cabinet very easily. It's nice to have something small without having to lug an entire flight of stairs in just one step or use a chair that takes you higher than necessary. It's strong and durable - I'm not worried about its stability when I'm standing on it, but I always try to mount it next to a wall or counter for support if I'm going to be on it for a very long time.
