I love Reveal bulbs because they don't strain the eyes like regular white clear/frosted bulbs or CFLs. When I turn on an ordinary lightbulb, it always hurts and I have to blink very hard, even after a few hours. With the opening open, I hardly have to blink for a few seconds and then my eyes relax. If I go to the normal lightbulbs in another room, then I immediately blink again. The only downside to Reveals is that they are less bright than regular incandescent bulbs of any wattage. I tried Philips "Natural Daylight" which has a very light blue color on the bulb but they are little better on the eyes than regular bulbs. The reason for this rating is that I received 6 packs instead of 12. If you get 6 packs, it's 12 bulbs, not 12 packs. I contacted Revain and was credited the difference.
