It broke after a couple of uses

I purchased in 2019 and tested it. I tried it a couple of times in 2020 to test some commands and it worked. Image was OK with very small field of view. Night vision was not very effective, as it could only clearly capture objects probably 60 cms/25 inches away. Night vision was still very dark and with a purple hue. After the first couple of uses I stored it in a safe place and tried to use it again at the end of 2020 but this time it did not work at all as my program was throwing many errors. I was not able to make this camera work and it messed up my microSD card as I tried to figure out the errors I was getting, I tried to make get updates as I thought it could be software related. I tested different cables as well. I googled the errors but did not find solid answers. My microSD card was corrupted and had to reformat it, fortunately I was able to recover many programs I had written. The night vision seemed to be the additional feature that seems to set this camera apart but honestly it was quite poor. I know it was only 25-30 USD but still, very poor quality and image. I will not buy this camera again and do not recommend it. After this I purchased the raspberry PI Camera Module V2, 8 megapixels and have not had any issues so far with several programs and also running all night long.
