They are brand new but I am very happy with them. They're enough to change often, they add color to my kitchen, they absorb moisture well and don't pill or shrink in the wash. FYI as they are cotton and new. I noticed that they throw excess lint in the dryer. If you haven't already, make sure to start and finish cleaning the lint filter. You can also wash them separately when they're new or throw in a Shout Color Catcher sheet (which I love and recommend too!). I noticed that it soaked up some of the yellow dye the first time I tossed these rags in the wash. In general, so far there are no cons for these rags. I will update if they don't hold up over time.
