Worked. I needed a JRA sized valve tool and this was the best option. The instructions that came with it were clear enough, although it was pretty obvious how it was supposed to work anyway. The instructions mention that the fittings should be tight, but it doesn't say how tight they are. I have found that hand tightening is sufficient as the o-rings do the rest of the work. It takes some patience to insert a new valve into the port threads when the system's back pressure presses against you, but I found it best to use my other hand on the lock nut to prevent this. He once dropped a valve into the system before screwing it in as well, but it was fairly easy to find and reinsert even when the system was pressurized. removed the tool. I slowly depressurized the tool from the tool and I believe the valve did not engage properly. Once I figured that out, I made sure to depressurize faster to set the valve properly.
