I have replaced the old bulbs in our van with these and am very satisfied. I wanted a nice bright light so almost went for a clear lens but after reading other reviews I went for a matte lens and was glad I did. The lights look fantastic and have perfect natural light. They were very easy to install. The tools I used were my wire strippers, a Phillips screwdriver, a drill with a 5/16" bit, scissors, and electrical tape. I felt more comfortable than just adding a layer of tape to secure the main nuts included in the kit going back into the wood paneled ceiling. I'm glad I miscalculated my twin lamps and ordered an extra one. I replaced the single lightbulb above the sink with a double and it's so much better!
