After years of making lemon bars, this is by far the best tool I've ever used for the job. I like that it seems to shave the skin instead of tearing it. It was almost easy to peel 8 lemons - I mean, almost fun! Of course, that means it's spicy. I managed to scratch my hand a bit. No damage, but if I had to press harder due to the tool's inefficiency, I would most likely injure myself. I checked the patent number and found it on the blade before opening the box. This is the real thing. Amazing grater/grater! It makes a great gift for anyone who loves making something in the kitchen from scratch. I don't know why it took me so long. I will never use any other again.
