Description of 🖤 Microplane Classic Zester/Grater in Sleek Black: Unleash Flawless Zesting and Grating Abilities

Ultra Sharp Made in USA blades: Microplane uses photo-etched technology to make ultra sharp grating blades right here in America! BPA free plastic handle. Zest Citrus: The blade is designed with a specific tooth set that takes the flavorful rind directly off the citrus fruit, while leaving behind the bitter white pith. Zest adds flavor to vinaigrettes, stir fries, salads, and baked goods!. Grate Cheese: Grate parmesan into fluffy mounds that melt quickly and look beautiful when treating yourself of family to rustic bowls of pasta. Sprinkle fresh parmesan over eggs, salads, or any dish for a burst of flavor. Surgical Grade Stainless Steel: this material stays rust-free and maintains sharpness over time. True stainless steel is magnetic, so this item can be hung on your magnetic knife strip. Dishwasher Safe: The tool is easy to clean, simply rinse immediately after use. Use a kitchen brush on the underside of the blade to clean out tough to reach particles. The zester/grater can also be placed in the dishwasher.

Marked down or counterfeit

I've had one of these for years and it was getting boring so I ordered a replacement. Despite being the same "Microplane" brand, the new one has a hard and cheap plastic grip compared to the previous generation's soft rubber grip. In addition, the new one does not have a rubber grip on the underside so that it can rest on the cutting board without slipping. And the cover was missing. Both the rubber base and shell were listed in the specs so I'm sending these back. Perhaps this is a fake under…

Essential Kitchen Tool

I didn't even know what a Microplan was, but now that I have one, I can't do without this kitchen tool. There's nothing better than rubbing a lemon or lime. Also great if you want to mash fresh garlic into a paste. Sometimes it's even easier to use than a box grater when it comes to hard cheeses. I've heard from people that they dull over time and need replacing as they can't be sharpened. That may be true, but mine is over ten years old and still works. The only downside is that washing…

A few minutes = a bunch of fluffy zest!

After years of making lemon bars, this is by far the best tool I've ever used for the job. I like that it seems to shave the skin instead of tearing it. It was almost easy to peel 8 lemons - I mean, almost fun! Of course, that means it's spicy. I managed to scratch my hand a bit. No damage, but if I had to press harder due to the tool's inefficiency, I would most likely injure myself. I checked the patent number and found it on the blade before opening the box. This is the real thing. Amazing…

Possibly counterfeit

My mother in law and I bought this Cester for my husband. She also bought hers from Revain. There were clear differences between them. She came with a sheath. It was a little deeper and "made in the USA" was different. The biggest difference, however, was that mine was very boring. It was so sharp it was impossible to run a finger across it. I don't understand how two products from the same company and with the same model number can be so different. I can only assume that the item I received…

Difficult to use, blade not sharp/smooth

A friend of mine has a micro slicer that I love. It's sharp, smooth, and makes it easy to grate hard cheeses (Parma, Asiago, etc.). Eventually I gave up and found the exact model that matched hers. but here i am Either I have a blunt or I don't believe this product is legit. When you try to use the blade, what is being rubbed will "slip" along the blade, making it extremely difficult to use. When skipping the product, the blade tends to slip and get menacingly close to your hands. Not good. I…

Shape limits usability

Based on the needs of my kitchen, the main design flaw of this micro plane is the shape of the plane. Instead of being a straight line, the sides of the plane curve inward. If you look into its trunk, so to speak, you see something like a U-shape. If you plan on grating/grating something with a high liquid content (ginger, garlic) expect it to stick to any microplate. The downside to this particular design is that the curved plane makes it difficult to remove what you've just cut or grated. If…

list of fakes.

This product is a counterfeit. I bought this identical order (a real Microplane) in 2009 and it shaved beautifully and lasted almost 10 years. MICROPLAN and the patent number were written on the handle. The replacement I received in May claiming to be the Mciroplane from that very site which has a Revain banner saying "You purchased this item on XX/XX/2009" is NOT a Microplane and dem Original very inferior. although outdated and bought a product I once bought. These blades don't cut so much as

It's really all there!

For years I've wondered why anyone would buy zeal. I mean, I have a citrus grater, so why keep another disposable utensil? So when I had to make a recipe that called for 1/2 cup of raisins and knew how long it would take me to grate 1TB, I decided to take the plunge. And boy oh boy am I ever glad I did! Comparing a grater to that is like comparing a golf cart to a Ferrari! It's very sharp so you don't even have to squeeze it. Simply run it across the surface of a lemon/orange/lime/grapefruit…
