Review on ASUS PG329Q: 2560X1440P DisplayPort DisplayHDR, 175Hz Refresh Rate, Flicker-Free & Adjustable - A Comprehensive Review by Scott Hall

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Pretty good, but HDR doesn't live up to expectations

This model met my expectations for the most part, but I would rate it as average. Most items in the box are as advertised. The point that really brings this down to 3 stars out of a possible 5 stars in the 32-inch IPS 1440 category is that with Windows HDR enabled, the monitor dims after a few minutes of use. Asus claims this works properly if you're on the monitor for a long period of time (5-10 minutes in my experience). Once a monitor gets darker it becomes very difficult to use and you have to switch to HDR to make it brighter. again. If that wasn't a problem I would give this monitor 5 stars. I haven't personally used any Acer competitor, but it would be interesting to try now that I'm disappointed with the Asus model.

Pros
  • ASUS Eye Care technology with TÜV Rheinland certification for flicker-free and Low Blue Light technology to minimize eye fatigue and an ergonomic stand with tilt, swivel and height adjustments for a comfortable viewing experience
Cons
  • Bad brightness
