I had a monitor with my old iMac which was fine. When I got a new M1 iMac with a 4.5k display, the monitor looked dark. I looked at the prices and saw that Apple recommended an LG monitor with a Thunderbolt connection, which was expensive. This model appears to have the same specs without the Thunderbolt port, but at a much lower price point. I bought it and used the HDMI USB-C port. It was sharp and crisp, but only ran at 30Hz, making it a bit jumpy. I have a DisplayPort to USB-C cable and it's running at 60Hz now, looks good, no stuttering. Highly recommended, but use Displayport if possible.
