Update: It takes about 2 weeks for us. I thought they were regular batteries but no. Designed for new Duracell batteries with a lifespan of approx. 50 hours. After about 10 they start to dim and after 60 they are dimmer than a night light. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. I wish I could return them but it's been too long. I love these LED lights. They are sticky, light and very easy to install. They are located above our sink and oven in the apartment. The only problem is that after just a few weeks it got significantly darker. The battery compartment is just awful and I had a hard time getting the batteries to line up properly. After a few weeks the supplied batteries were replaced and it was light again. I just hope that switching to Duracell helps keep them bright for more than a few weeks!
