It's a bit bulky for grating cheese and slippery when trying to hold the bow (honestly it's probably my fault for not being sure of the bow sits securely in the grips) but ALL fingers protected enough so I can look at my laptop with confidence while slicing. Being stainless steel it will last a very long time and far outlives the two plastic bottles I have. Cleaning is very easy, just some soap and water and maybe a brush to remove soft foods from the handle holes. Overall I am very happy with this product and can finally stop looking for an effective finger guard.
