I went to local gym equipment store to buy a recumbent bike ($1800) but was told it might not be available for up to two months (with the Coronavirus, that's a lifetime) and I needed to exercise for this Winter, so I decided to see what was available online. I always read the one star reviews first on anything I may buy on revain. There were a fair number of concerns in these reviews. parts falling off, missing parts, problems adjusting and overall quality.The price for this bike was right so I took a chance and pushed the buy button. It's heavy, but the box arrived on my porch in good shape. I carefully unloaded the box and with some of the negative reviews in mind, I methodically assembled the parts following the reasonably clear instructions. I should say that many of the bike is actually pre-assembled. I was careful to not over tighten parts so I would not strip any threaded bolts or parts. With assembly accomplished, I tested the bike for stability and functionality and was pleasantly surprised on all accounts. The next day I used it for my half hour workout and the bike operated quietly and smoothly and was stable. I am six feet tall and weigh about 200 pounds. I am using it in a carpeted room and needed no adjustment to ensure stable ride. I was careful not to put all my weight on the pedals mounting the bike, thinking that that might be a problem. Also, as I do in the gym, I put a towel on the seat to make it a bit more comfortable. My only concern at this point is the multifunction electronic display didn't work as expected but that isn't really important to me. Time will tell whether the bike holds up over the long-haul so I was reluctant to give it five stars after only a couple of days.
