The fan is well made, has a metal body and plastic blades. It creates quite a good breeze for its size and is quiet. Comes with battery, case and spare blade. I take it with me when traveling because it's so small and useful when you get stuck without good ventilation (the plane is stuck at the gate). AAA batteries last a long time. We also keep one on a mantle over the fireplace as this is great for starting a fire too. The seller is responsive and will send you replacement blades if needed, although unlikely with a replacement in the box. The blades are not fragile.
